Chanel Rowe is the General Counsel and a Partner of Stonehaven. Ms. Rowe works closely with the CEO and senior management on regulatory, compliance, litigation and commercial matters, including mandate management. She also collaborates with the management, operations and technology teams to develop processes and design technology to streamline workflows and increase value for stakeholders.

Prior to Stonehaven, Ms. Rowe was Counsel in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. As an enforcement attorney, she led investigations into possible violations of federal securities laws, including broker-dealer violations and fraud, and litigated those cases once they were filed. Before joining the SEC, she practiced at two of the nation’s 100 largest law firms where she represented private equity and Fortune 500 companies in complex commercial and product liability actions pending in federal court. She also clerked for two years with a senior judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Ms. Rowe graduated as the Valedictorian of her College of Law class at Florida International University where she served as the Executive Business Editor of the FIU Law Review. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a B.B.A. in economics. Ms. Rowe is a frequent speaker on topics such as leadership, ethics, diversity, and professional development. She is a member of the FIU Board of Trustees as well as the Florida Bar’s Grievance Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Ms. Rowe’s achievements have been recognized by The National Black Lawyers who recently included her in their Class of 2020 “Top 40 Under 40.” In 2017, she was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and Washington, D.C.
