We are excited to announce that Adam Kneller, Founder & Managing Partner of Capital Formation Partners has joined as an Affiliate Partner.
Mr. Adam Kneller is the Founder & Managing Partner of Capital Formation Partners LLC (“CFP”).
Capital Formation Partners LLC (“CFP”) is a newly established, independent institutional business development partner. CFP is vigilantly focused on helping its investment manager partners acquire the investor and consultant clients and capital needed to satisfy their fundraising and portfolio company acquisition and support needs, while scouring the globe for special GPs who exist to serve their investors by putting them first and offering truly differentiated alpha and real solutions to real investment needs.
CFP provides institutional outreach capacity from day one thanks to Mr. Kneller’s two decades devoted to developing and nurturing relationships across all institutional investor segments - from insurance companies and public pensions to corporates, E&Fs, wealth managers, private banks, and multi-family offices, located in most major geographical centers, spanning all of the U.S., much of Europe, and significant portions of Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.
Though its investor coverage spans investor segment (and geography) and investment strategy and asset class, CFP has niche expertise in: (1) raising money from and managing assets for insurance companies and (2) raising money for all manner of alternative credit strategies and GPs.
For the last 18 years, Mr. Kneller has raised capital for the alternative investment industry’s leading asset managers, including a combined 14 years at BlackRock (Vice President, Financial Institutions Group (~insurance)), Golub Capital (Director & Head of EU & LATAM (all investor segments) and Head of Insurance (global ex-Asia)), and Arcmont Asset Management (Managing Director & Head of US), to whom Mr. Kneller introduced its future and current brother and parent companies Churchill Asset Management and Nuveen, respectively. Mr. Kneller also served as Managing Director & Global Head of Credit Fundraising & Investor Relations for private energy, infra, and real assets leader Riverstone.
Mr. Kneller’s experience has been marked by both collaborative and individual leadership in major fundraising efforts; collectively, his teams have raised tens of billions of capital in institutional assets for every major asset class, of which he directly led initiatives securing over $30 billion in assets.
Mr. Kneller has served in leadership and Board roles of major philanthropic organizations, including in the Wall Street & Financial Services Division of UJA as a member of the Young Wall Street Executive Council, the UJA Steering Committee, and as Vice Chair and then Chair of UJA’s Observership Program. Mr. Kneller is also a former Board member, member of the Resource Development Committee, and President of the Young Leader’s Council of Services for the UnderServed (SUS), a leading veterans-focused non-profit.
Mr. Kneller graduated early, with a dual BSc. in Finance and International Business from NYU’s Stern School of Business, and with honors (Cum Laude, Stern Scholar, repeat placement on the Stern Dean’s List, NYU Honors Scholar, Recipient of NYU’s Founder’s Day Award (“highest bracket of scholastic preferment recognized by the University”), and was a member of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) - Mu Chapter (NYU Stern), the National Honorary Finance Fraternity).
Mr. Kneller holds Series 7 and 63 registrations with FINRA.
