Ms. Alex Esparza is the Founder and Managing Partner of Wavefront Capital Group, LLC.

The Wavefront Capital Group LLC is a boutique investment bank and advisor focused on providing hands-on, high-touch, collaborative, and comprehensive equity capital raises and advisory services to private mid-market and startup companies.

The Wavefront team is focused on meeting the needs of private companies in growth-focused verticals with sector expertise across technology, sustainability, consumer goods, and healthcare. The firm has a special interest in helping companies that are looking to create novel solutions, including ones focused on emerging technologies such as digital health, women’s health, financial technology, climate technology, food technology, and the future of transportation.

Ms. Esparza has over fifteen years of Wall Street experience within multiple disciplines, including equities sales and trading, small-cap global long/short investing, and investment banking. Most recently, Ms. Esparza was the TMT investment banking lead at a start-up growth equity-focused investment bank. Prior she worked within the TMT investment banking team at Oppenheimer and Co. Inc. and led the buildout of tech private capital markets and the firm’s digital health investment banking franchise. Prior to Oppenheimer, she was a small-cap global investment analyst with Pearl Brook Capital Management, a long/short hedge fund spun out of American Century, covering developed markets across North America, Asia, and Europe. She has experience across equity capital markets, including IPOs, private placements, and trading. Ms. Esparza also serves as an advisor to several early-stage startups.

Ms. Esparza earned a BA in Humanities from Stanford University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management with a focus on asset management. In her spare time, she travels, surfs and is an endurance athlete and NASM-certified trainer. She was a top-four finalist in the Ira Sohn stock picking Idea Contest in 2016.

Ms. Esparza holds SIE Series 57, 63, and 79 registrations with FINRA.
