Matt Johns, Principal of HoneyHive Capital, Joins Stonehaven’s Affiliate Platform

We are excited to announce that Mr. Matt Johns has officially joined Stonehaven, LLC as Principal of HoneyHive Capital.

Mr. Matt Johns is the CEO of HoneyHive Capital.    

HoneyHive Capital helps alternative investment firms strategically connect with the right investors. They develop cohesive strategies, messaging, and collateral to help investors realize the deal's competitive edge and value. 

Mr. Johns has experience in many collaborative projects that extend from intra-organizational collaboration to national, private-public partnerships. Most of his experience has come from working in the non-profit industry. He has raised public and private funds through grant writing, galas, and growing donor networks. He was heavily involved in disaster recovery for multiple flooding events in the Greater Houston area including Hurricane Harvey where he served the lead role in coordination of public and private recovery efforts.  He has also developed innovative community networks, formed multiple programs, and facilitated local and national public policy efforts. 

Mr. Johns originally started HoneyHive Capital in 2021 while reflecting on an unsuccessful tech startup.  He understood the pain points and wanted to become the solution.  Since then, he has worked with RIAs, growth companies, real estate developers, and emerging fund managers helping them strategically connect with investors.  

Mr. Johns earned a double-major BA in Communications and Religion from Baylor University and has an MBA in Finance from LSU-Shreveport.   

Mr. Johns currently holds Series 7, 63, & 65 registrations with FINRA.
