NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE) -July 10, 2013- We are proud to announce key personnel additions as part of our continued expansion strategy.
Mark Sullivan, CFA has joined the Stonehaven team as a Managing Director and Partner. Mr. Sullivan will work closely with Stonehaven’s CEO to spearhead origination and ongoing management of mandates while also playing a senior management role.
Igor Gourari, CPA has also joined the Stonehaven team as our Controller. Igor will spearhead all financial and accounting functions within the firm while also playing a senior operations role.
We feel very fortunate to attract such talented individuals to our management and operations team. We are excited to utilize their experience in introducing new products and further enhancing our management, financial and operational backbone to support our growing platform.
The expansion of Stonehaven’s management and operations team to 6 professionals is part of a broader effort to grow the platform from 20 professionals today to 30+ over the coming 6-12 months. Stonehaven’s platform has placed over $1B in the last 24 months, and the firm is investing heavily in infrastructure to expand placement activity globally with a larger team and growth in the product portfolio.
About Mark Sullivan, CFA
Mark Sullivan is a Managing Director and Partner at Stonehaven where he spearheads origination and ongoing management of mandates while also playing a senior role. Prior to Stonehaven, Mr. Sullivan was the Director of US Sales Management at Man Investments Inc. where he coordinated product operations and development and managed related workflow across stakeholders including investment management, marketing, third party investors, service providers, legal, compliance, operations, reporting and management. Mr. Sullivan came to Man Investments Inc. following the acquisition of Ore Hill Partners LLC in May 2011, where Mr. Sullivan was a Partner and served as the firm’s CFO and COO for over 8 years. Mr. Sullivan built and managed all non-investment functions for the multi-product alternative asset management firm and was integral in helping grow the firm from $70 million & 7 employees to $3 billion AUM & 45 employees. Prior to Ore Hill Partners LLC, Mr. Sullivan worked for Credit Suisse First Boston / Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette within their Private Client Services division from 2000 to 2003. Mr. Sullivan also worked with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in their Private Wealth Management division from 1998 to 2000.
Mr. Sullivan earned an M.B.A. from the Leonard Stern School of Business at NYU with a concentration in Finance and a B.A. in Economics from Boston College. Mr. Sullivan is CFA charter holder and member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA). Currently, Mr. Sullivan holds the Series 3, 7, 24, and 63 registrations with FINRA. Mr. Sullivan lives in Larchmont, NY with his wife, son and two daughters.
About Igor Gourari, CPA
Igor Gourari is the Controller of Stonehaven, LLC. Mr. Gourari has 10 years of experience conducting audits and providing consulting services in the financial sector. Prior to joining Stonehaven, Mr. Gourari worked as a CFO of an energy fund and a Controller of a multi-national media firm. Previously, Mr. Gourari served as an Audit Manager within the Alternative Investments practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was responsible for leading hedge fund, hedge fund of funds, and private equity fund audits. Prior to that, Mr. Gourari worked at RSM McGladrey and other public accounting firms where he managed audit and tax teams for hedge fund, private equity and broker dealer clients. Mr. Gourari has consulted clients and colleagues on various CPE classes regarding valuation, partnership structures, financial controls, IRS rulings and cases, and SEC compliance matters.
Mr. Gourari earned an M.B.A. in Finance and Taxation from Pace University and a B.S. in Accounting from Fordham University. Currently, Mr. Gourari is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in New York State. Mr. Gourari lives in Manhattan with his wife, son and daughter.
