Brahm Pillai, Founder & Executive Officer of Pillai Capital, Joins Stonehaven’s Affiliate Platform

We are excited to announce that Mr. Brahm Pillai has officially joined Stonehaven, LLC as Founder & Executive Officer of Pillai Capital.

Mr. Brahm Pillai is the Founder and Executive Officer of Pillai Capital, a boutique investment banking and advisory firm based in New York. Prior to launching Pillai Capital, Mr. Pillai was Managing Director at Keystone Global, where he focused on digital strategies within the investment banking and consulting divisions. 

Before his pivot into investment banking, Mr. Pillai was a hedge fund professional, serving as Managing Director at SkyBridge Capital (“SkyBridge”), a global investment firm, from 2010 to 2022. Handling various roles over nearly twelve years, Mr. Pillai was primarily responsible for investment management, hedge fund trading, portfolio operations, F/X, and investment risk diligence, in addition to helping the firm establish its affiliated venture group and Financial Technology platforms. 

From October 2005 to July 2010, Mr. Pillai held similar investment management roles within Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI) Hedge Fund Management Group (HFMG). SkyBridge acquired HFMG from Citigroup in July 2010. 

Mr. Pillai received his M.B.A. from The Johnson School of Management at Cornell University in May 2014 and his B.A. from The Gallatin School at New York University in September 2001. Mr. Pillai received his Certified Blockchain & Finance Professional (CBFP) Certificate issued by the Blockchain Council in January 2022. 

Mr. Pillai currently holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79, and 99 licenses with FINRA
