Sean Donohue, CAIA, Founder & Managing Member at Saranac Lake Capital has joined as an Affiliate Partner.

Mr. Donohue specializes in raising capital on behalf of emerging hedge fund managers focusing on niche and short alpha strategies.

Prior to founding Saranac Lake Capital, Mr. Donohue was the COO for Spruce Point Capital Management, LLC., an activist short selling firm. Prior to Spruce Point Capital, Mr. Donohue was the Director of Marketing for Kerrisdale Capital Management, another short-focused research firm at the time.

Prior to Kerrisdale Capital, Mr. Donohue was a pre launch Partner at Magister Ludi Capital Management, LLC, a global macro hedge fund. Prior to Magister Ludi, Mr. Donohue served in corporate strategy or product marketing positions within the investment management divisions of Citi and Deutsche Bank. Mr. Donohue began his career as an analyst with the Barra Strategic Consulting Group.

Mr. Donohue received Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Mathematics and Economics from Hamilton College. Mr. Donohue is a CAIA charter holder and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. Mr. Donohue is currently pursuing the Series 7 and 63 registrations with FINRA. Mr. Donohue lives in Atlanta with his wife and children.
