John "Wally" Sullivan


Mr. John “Wally” Sullivan is the President of Supper Island Capital LLC.

Supper Island Capital specializes in raising equity capital for private placements with a particular focus on Opportunity Zone Funds. Opportunity Zone Funds incentivize investment in economically distressed areas offering potential tax benefits when using capital gains.

Mr. Sullivan has extensive experience in starting and managing broker-dealers and executive board oversight. He has navigated the complexities of the financial industry and his diverse background provides valuable insights into financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings.

Mr. Sullivan began his career as an institutional trader in multiple large financial firms. In 2000, he started his own firm, Pulse Trading, which specialized in electronic trading. While at Pulse, he launched a successful Alternative Trading System, Blockcross, and eventually sold the firm to State Street Bank and Trust in 2011.

Mr. Sullivan was then recruited to be CEO of Javelin Capital Markets, LLC (JCM). JCM was a derivative exchange designed to encourage electronic execution and transparency to the interest rate swaps market. He eventually sold the derivative license in 2016 to BATS which was later purchased by the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. In 2019 he acquired control of the FINRA registered broker-dealer and maintained the name Javelin Securities.

Mr. Sullivan also sits on the board of Northern Bank & Trust Company which is a midsize commercial lending bank headquartered in Woburn, MA.

Mr. Sullivan is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance.

Mr. Sullivan holds series 7, 14, 24, 57, and 63 registrations with FINRA.
