Ms. Erin Summe is the Founder & Managing Partner at Thandeka Capital Partners. Thandeka Capital Partners is a platform that identifies, partners with, and raises capital for socially and environmentally sustainable investment funds around the world.
Thandeka Capital Partners was launched in 2020 as a natural extension of another company that Erin founded, Thandeka Travel, which is an Africa-based company that connects impact investors directly with local organizations addressing clean energy, healthcare, and education. Through intimate immersions, Thandeka aims to create relationships and dialogues that will allow funders to better understand the needs of a community and what kind of solutions will work within a unique context.
Ms. Summe previously spent 5 years at Morgan Stanley as a trader in Equity Derivatives and 3 years in the Cape Town area of South Africa working with a non-profit in HIV prevention.
Ms. Summe earned a BA in Economics from Georgetown University, and an MBA in Finance from London Business School.
Ms. Summe currently holds her Series 7 & 63 licenses with FINRA.
Ms. Kristin Lynch is the Vice President and Partner at Thandeka Capital Partners. She focuses on raising capital for socially and environmentally sustainable funds worldwide.
Prior to Joining Thandeka Capital, Ms. Lynch served as the Operations Manager for NextGen Acquisition Corp. I & II, two special purpose acquisition companies. In December 2021, NextGen Acquisition Corp. II completed a business combination with Virgin Orbit, a space launch, and satellite services company, in a transaction valuing the combined company at $3.4 billion. In August 2021, NextGen Acquisition Corp. I completed a business combination with Xos, Inc, a leading manufacturer of fully electric Class 5 to Class 8 commercial vehicles, in a transaction valuing the combined company at $2 billion.
Additionally, Ms. Lynch has served as the Operations Manager for Glen Capital Partners, a value-oriented hedge fund, since 2015. Prior to joining Glen Capital, Ms. Lynch worked on the Investor Relations Operations team at Och-Ziff Capital Management (now Sculptor Capital Management), a global alternative asset management firm. She also spent four years at J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank, where she served as a product controller for Cash Equities and the Equity Derivatives Group.
Ms. Lynch graduated from Siena College with honors and holds a B.S. degree in Finance.
