Mr. James Sanford, CFA is the Principal at Arlington Capital Solutions.

Mr. Sanford founded Arlington Capital to channel his deep expertise in digital capital markets, strategic partnerships, and ISP contracting to serve the lower and middle market in the digital sector with a focus on Fiber to the Premise broadband networks. After co-founding Digital Infrastructure Group (DIG) in 2020, he helped raise $150mm for Alberta Broadband Networks, launched in late 2021, where he serves on the board.

Over the past year, Mr. Sanford has focused on a complex wholesale partnership with a major US incumbent telco provider, structuring a major lease deal for Fiber networks. His work spans investor relations, capital raising, market diligence, municipal partnerships, and quantitative modelling. To date, he has raised ~$185M CAD from a global ESG fund and a Canadian large national project finance bank, for Canadian fiber projects.

Mr. Sanford’s edge lies in bridging capital markets with broadband infrastructure, building trusted ties with 60+ PE and Infra funds, bank and private debt lenders, and ISPs, including two large national incumbent providers. Mr. Sanford also raised capital for Alternative Fixed Income funds from institutions and for single-deal CRE projects. Mr. Sanford has 30+ years of complicated securities/derivatives knowledge. Single-project deal flow exceeds $500 million in the infrastructure finance sector and $200 million in commercial real estate, spanning both debt and equity transactions.  Mr. Sanford is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) as recognized by the CFA Institute.

Mr. Sanford currently holds the SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 registrations with FINRA and is actively pursuing the Series 79 license.
