Mr. Ryan McDowell is the Founder and Managing Partner of The Fivestone Securities LLC.

The Fivestone Securities LLC focuses on helping small and medium-sized businesses achieve their goals through capital markets, financing, and M&A activities. Drawing on two decades of expertise in working with both privately-held and public companies across a variety of industries and transaction types, Fivestone Securities leverages an extensive network of professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.

Prior to founding Fivestone Securities, Mr. McDowell was a Managing Director and Head of Business Development at CriticalPoint, a Los Angeles-based merchant bank, where he oversaw the firm’s business development strategy and served as a Supervisory Principal.

Earlier in his career, Mr. McDowell spent 11 years in the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch, where he and his team managed more than $16 billion for ultra-high-net-worth families and institutions. During this time, he advised business owners through liquidity events and developed significant experience in capital markets, wealth transfer, and intergenerational planning.

Mr. McDowell is a graduate of Amherst College, where he double majored in Political Science and Sociology.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) as designated by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.

Mr. McDowell holds SIE, Series 7, 24, and 63 registrations with FINRA.
