Ben Harris

Founder & CEO

Mr. Ben Harris has an established track record of raising capital from institutional investors, registered investment advisors, family offices and high-net-worth individuals. In addition to being the Founder & CEO of Uncommon Capital Group, he serves as a Senior Vice President at CRG, a leading national real estate developer.

Prior to CRG, Mr. Harris served as Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development at Origin Investments, a Chicago-based real estate investment firm, where he raised more than $350 million of investor capital and expanded the firm’s local footprint to a national one. Before Origin, Ben was one of the first employees at Starwood Retail Partners, a subsidiary of Starwood Capital that is now one of the largest managers of regional malls in the United States.

Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Harris remains active in the University as a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association and as a mentor in the Wisconsin Real Estate Mentorship Program.

Mr. Harris holds SIE, Series 7 and 63 registrations with FINRA.

Danny Dlugie

Vice President

Mr. Danny Dlugie is a Vice President at Uncommon Capital Group.

Uncommon Capital Group provides a private community of family offices, RIAs, and high-net-worth individuals with premium access to the exclusive deals and funds of leading alternative investment managers across the United States. 

Mr. Dlugie focuses on originating, diligencing, and curating private market investment opportunities for the Uncommon community. He also plays a key role in the firm's capital-raising efforts, working closely with private wealth investors to broaden access to alternative investments. In addition, he helps lead the firm’s artificial intelligence initiatives, leveraging proprietary data to enhance decision-making and drive optimal outcomes.

Before joining Uncommon, Mr. Dlugie held roles in venture capital, private equity, and global alternatives. He served as an MBA Associate at Lightbank, where he sourced and evaluated early-stage opportunities, partnered with portfolio companies on strategy and growth, and supported fundraising efforts. Earlier in his career, he worked at GCM Grosvenor in the Private Equity Investments and Strategy & Corporate Development groups. In the Private Equity Investments group, he conducted due diligence on private equity, growth equity, and venture capital managers globally on behalf of the firm's diverse institutional client base that included pension funds, endowments, and sovereign wealth funds. In the Strategy & Corporate Development group, he supported the Office of the Chairman on firm-wide strategic initiatives, including launching new investment products, evaluating corporate investment opportunities, and advancing the firm’s long-term growth priorities.

Mr. Dlugie earned his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Dlugie currently holds Series 7 and Series 63 registrations with FINRA.
