James Gaffney of Capital Growth Advisors, Joins Stonehaven’s Affiliate Platform

We are excited to announce that James Gaffney, Founder and Managing Partner of Capital Growth Advisors, LLC has joined as an Affiliate Partner

Mr. James Gaffney is the Founder and Managing Partner of Capital Growth Advisors LLC.

Mr. Gaffney founded New York-based Capital Growth Advisors (CGA) in 1996 as an independent consultant specializing in raising assets and providing integrated client services for a select group of alternative asset management firms. The firm offers global distribution support to hedge funds, private equity, and real estate investment managers. Since the mid-1990s, the firm has raised over $10 billion through a global investor base comprising institutions, banks, pension plans, endowments, foundations, consulting firms, and multi-family office firms.

Before forming CGA, Mr. Gaffney held senior leadership positions for Blenheim Investments (1993 to 1996), Tricon Holding Co (1986-1993), a joint venture formed by Commodities Corporation, along with a commercial lending position (1982-1986) at a large Houston, Texas-based commercial bank, subsequently acquired by JPMorgan Chase.

Mr. Gaffney received his BBA in Finance from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.

Mr. Gaffney currently holds Series 3, 7, 14, 24, 27, and 63 registrations with FINRA.
